WOMEN’S ENDOWMENT MATCHING PROGRAM
(ENDOWMENT GOAL: $25,000,000)
A pivotal goal of
Power the Next 100 is to double our women’s varsity endowment total from $25M to $50M.
To spearhead the growth of endowment, Penn is excited to announce that through the generosity of several leadership donors, in combination with Divisional support, there is a $1.75M matching program in place to support the growth of women’s varsity sport endowments. The three endowment vehicles described below are eligible for the matching program and the chart below outlines the matching mechanism. Please note the matching program will conclude once the $1.75M is used, unless additional matching funds are philanthropically raised.
NAMED HEAD COACHING ENDOWMENT
Our coaches are our educators. Both on the court and in life. A philanthropic gift that names a head coaching position of one of our women’s varsity teams will provide resources that our coaches need to operate their programs and develop impactful women student-athletes. Available women’s head coaching endowment positions include: Field Hockey, Women’s Golf, Gymnastics, Women’s Rowing, Softball, Women’s Tennis, and Volleyball.
NAMED ASSISTANT COACHING ENDOWMENT
Name an assistant coaching position by investing in the team they coach by creating an endowment that will provide the operational resources needed for competitive success. Assistant coach endowments are available for many women’s programs.
STUDENT-ATHLETE EXPERIENCE ENDOWMENT
When you endow a student-athlete’s experience, you will be matched with a member of our varsity team, establishing a positive relationship that could benefit them long beyond their time at Penn. In addition to covering the costs of the student-athlete’s participation for a year, your support will empower them to focus on their progress and help provide a first-class experience for the entire team.
