Blythe Tarbox serves as Director of Development for the Penn Champions Club. She joined the staff in September 2022 as Associate Director of Development, Major Gifts, supporting fundraising efforts for Field Hockey, Rowing, and Squash, and was subsequently promoted to her current role.

As Director of Development, Blythe oversees the Assistant Directors of Annual Giving while continuing to manage a major gifts portfolio and sport-specific boards. She plays a key leadership role in the day-to-day management of the frontline fundraising team and works closely with the Senior Associate AD, Development and Alumni Relations to align team priorities and manage workload across the team. In this capacity, she helps drive coordination across annual and major giving efforts, contributing to the continued growth and success of Penn Athletics’ fundraising initiatives.

Prior to Penn, Blythe served as Associate Director of Institutional Giving at The Philly POPS. She also spent nearly five years at The Franklin Institute as Corporate Giving Manager and previously worked with the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Originally from Radnor, Pennsylvania, Blythe attended The Agnes Irwin School and earned her B.S. in Communications and Business Leadership from the University of Arizona. She currently resides in the Fitler Square neighborhood of Philadelphia.
